Anne Mary Therrien

Anne Mary Therrien passed away on August 4, 2018, age 93 years, at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Anne was born in Peterson, Saskatchewan and grew up there and moved to Manitoba at the age of 16. She married Emile Therrien in St. Boniface, Manitoba on August 24, 1946. They moved to the Lakehead for a number of years. In 1959 they built the Open Bay Lodge at Lac des Milles Lac and operated it until they sold it in 1971. They lived in Dryden until Emile passed away. Anne moved to Thunder Bay and remained here. She was Rev B.A. Campbell’s housekeeper until his passing in 2006. Anne was active in her church, especially at St. Peter’s in her later years and was a life member of the Catholic Women’s League. She enjoyed helping all and was a very friendly individual. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends in the northwest, especially Pauline Kruppa and Corey Humenaj.

She was predeceased by her husband Emile and several brothers and sisters. Vigil Prayers for Anne will be held on Wednesday, August 8th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Blake Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 9th, 2018, when family and friends will gather at St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla V.G. officiating. Services will be complete in the church. Interment Dryden Cemetery.

Anne Therrien will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 9, 2019.
