Anne Andrews
On August 20, 2021, Anne Shirley Andrews (Nee MacIntosh), age 83, passed away peacefully at Southbridge Roseview. She is survived by her two loving granddaughters Meg Côté and her husband Tom, and Erin Carlisle and her fiancé Grant, and her son-in-law Frank Carlisle, all of Barrie, Ontario; as well as her brother David MacIntosh and his wife Maria, of Kamloops, British Columbia. She was predeceased by her husband Donald Andrews on February 21, 2021, her daughter Susan Carlisle on March 25, 2021, and her son David Andrews in 1998.

Anne was born in Bathurst, New Brunswick on May 24, 1938, and was raised in Scarborough, Ontario. On June 10, 1961 she married Donald Andrews in Toronto and moved to Fort William where they bought a home. Susan was born December 15, 1962 and David was born February 6, 1966. In spite of David's many health issues, Anne and Donald provided a loving home for Susan and David with summers spent at camp at Loon Lake and winters spent skiing at Loch Lomond and Candy Mountain. Anne spent many years volunteering with the Auxillary at St. Joseph’s Hospital, becoming the president of the Women’s Auxillary and sitting on the board of directors. She also enjoyed her weekly aquatic therapy classes at the Canada Games Complex, taking care of her flowers in the summer, feeding and watching the hummingbirds, and knitting sweaters and socks for her grandchildren.

The family would like to extend many thanks to the wonderful and caring staff of Southbridge Roseview who took excellent care of Anne during her three years living there with her advancing dementia, and who ensured Anne’s comfort in her final days. Funeral services entrusted to Sargent & Son Funeral Home, Thunder Bay. A graveside ceremony will be held on September 24th at 2:00pm at Riverside Cemetery. In remembrance, please consider charitable donations to the Sick Kids Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
