Mrs. Anne (Anna) Teresia Judith Ignace, age 70, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on April 20, 2015 at the Thunder Bay Regional at the ICU unit.
Anna Liebhauser was born in Lachine, Quebec to Johann Liebhauser & Anna Bartl on March 27, 1945. From there, her family moved to Oshawa where her love of animals developed. She lived her childhood there until her father’s passing. Anne worked in various jobs in Quebec and Ontario, finally settling in Toronto. One summer she traveled to a small town in Northern Ontario to pick up her daughters from a summer vacation. While in Dyment with her daughters, she met the love of her life and from there they started their life together.
Anne enjoyed doing crafts, baking, cooking and long road trips with her family. She always enjoyed having family get-togethers and spending time with her animals. Anne will be remembered for her big heart and beautiful smile and enjoyment of being with family and friends.
This beautiful lady will be sadly missed and remembered by her daughters Deborah & Wendi. Extended family members she considered as sons, Rob Ward and Paul Duck. She is also survived by her 1st cousin Hilda Rembala (Oshawa), sisters-in-law Victoria (Barber), Barbara (Osadec), Jean (Ignace) and brother-in-law Felix Ignace and their families. She had numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews whom she adored very much.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Victor, sisters-in-law Gloria Ignace, Judy Ignace, brothers-in-law Dale Dolph, Donny Ignace, her great nephew Marcus Ignace, mother-in-law Agnes Ignace, father-in-law Joseph Ignace and parents Johann Liebhauser & Anna Bartl.
Anne’s wishes are to be cremated and buried by her husband’s side in Ignace. A burial service with family and close friends will be taking place in Ignace, ON at 2:00 p.m. (Central Standard Time) on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Ignace cemetery off Davy Road.
An open house, celebrating Anne’s life will be held at 355 Adelaide Street, Apartment 111, between 4:00 and 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2015. In lieu of flowers, donations to the TBRHSC Renal Care or Thunder Bay Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
