Anne Wade

Anne Wade (nee Makris) age 97, passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 with her husband and daughter at her side.

Anne was born in Fort William in 1920 and grew up in English River and Hawk Lake. She worked as a housekeeper, at Canada Car and ran the lunch counter at Woolworths.

Anne married the love of her life Ernie in 1958 and together they raised their beloved daughter Susan. She devoted her life to her family and home and adored her dog Molly. Anne was a gentle and loving woman who will be deeply missed by so many.

Predeceased by mother Agnes, father Chris, step-father Art, brothers Jim and John, cousin Bill, uncle Pete and auntie Mary. Surviving, husband Ernie, daughter Susan, sister in laws Ruth and Margaret, cousin Roy, cousin Bea and family, niece Debbie (Terry), niece Sue (Mike), cousins, and nieces and nephews in England.

A private family gathering will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations to a dog charity welcome.
