Annette Rose Ladouceur

Mrs. Annette Rose Ladouceur, age 77 years, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Annette was born January 9, 1945 in Beardmore, Ontario to Elizabeth and Rene Gladu. Raised in Sand Point First Nation, she was the oldest of 12 children, and a member of Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek. As a natural caregiver she was always there to help her younger siblings. She met and married Joseph Ladouceur and together they raised four children in Beardmore. She was a kind, gracious and loving woman who supported her family. Keeping her family close was important, and her door was always open. She enjoyed blueberry picking and always welcomed fresh cut flowers at home.

Survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joe; beloved children, Joe (Teresa), Rose Antosiak, and Audrey (Gary) Mandula; grandchildren, Joe (Casey), Jolene (Kyle) Wiejak, and Cody (Lindsay), Scotty (Stephanie) Mandula; great grandchildren, Jayda, Grady, Jedson, Avery, Colton, Jayden, Alethia, and Ryder; and Tamara (Keenan); brothers, Albert, Paul, Lyle, Adam, and Rene; sisters, Ellen, Vera, June, and Priscilla, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her beloved daughter, Martine; parents, Elizabeth and Rene Gladu; son in-law, Jim; and brothers, Peter and Henry.

A Celebration of Annette's Life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at 1:00pm in Sand Point First Nation. Interment will take place in Sand Point First Nation Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 Gore Street West at James.
