Mr. Antonio Jose, age 61 years passed away peacefully on September 4, 2022 at home with family by his side.
Tony was born on January 23, 1961 in Fundao, Portugal. He worked as a Boilermaker welder his whole life, working at the shipyards and traveling as a boilermaker until his accident in 2012 which forced an early retirement. This allowed him to live his remaining years traveling, fishing, and enjoying time spent with his friends, family and three beautiful granddaughters.
Tony will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Donna; sons Matthew (Samantha) and Harlan; grandchildren Madelin, Sydney and Sophia; parents Manuel and Maria; siblings Fernando (Kristine), Lana (Dave) Maria (Bruce), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother Manuel and father-in-law Rudy Vidas.
The family of Tony would like to thank all our family and friends who supported us since Tony's diagnosis. Also to Rob, our home nurse, along with Aparna Nagar NP, Dr. Kathy Simpson and Dr. Faghih. We will be forever grateful and love you with our whole hearts.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 9, 2022 in St. Anthony’s Church, 123 Hilldale Road, where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. Luigi Filippini. Interment will follow in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. The Mass will be livestreamed at www.harbourviewfuneral.ca where condolences may be offered as well.
Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre where the Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Should friends so desire, donations may be made in Tony's memory to their charity of choice.
