Mr. Arvo Junkala age 88 years passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 with friends by his side.
Arvo became a faithful worker at an early age. He served with the Finnish Army after the war, then made his way to Sweden for work until coming to Canada in the early 1950's and made his home in Port Arthur. Arvo spent his first night here sleeping in Hillcrest Park.
He worked for many years as a bushworker. Arvo was a dedicated Christian and member of Hilldale Lutheran Church. He will be missed by his friends.
Funeral services for the late Mr. Arvo Junkala will be held as part of the Easter Communion Service on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Hilldale Lutheran Church. Interment of Ashes will be held at a later date in Riverside Cemetery.
