Mrs. Audrey McKay, age 81 years, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017.
She was born on August 9, 1935 in Massey, Ontario to the late Clifford and Edyth Bowser.
Audrey was a hard worker and her family was everything. She always made her famous potato doughnuts for the grandchildren. Mom and Dad went on vacations to Hawaii for many years.
She is survived by her daughters, Holly Stortini of Terrace Bay, ON., and Cindy (Joe) Speziale of Thunder Bay, ON., son-in-law Louie Costa of Calgary and grandsons: Sean (Dena) Stortini of Thunder Bay, Chris (Kelly) Miller of Okotoks, AB., Stephen (Brittany) Costa of Calgary; granddaughters: Melissa (Kory) Stortini of Calgary, Dannielle (Dustin) Moore of Okotoks, Leeza-Leigh (Ian) Speziale of Thunder Bay and Kate-Lynne (Dan) Speziale of Thunder Bay. She is also survived by her sister Joyce (George) Goodchild of Webbwood, Ontario and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband Hartley McKay; her daughter Kathy Costa; her sisters: Alma Hassard, Mary Walsh and Helen McInnes; several brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. McKay will be held in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre on Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. presided by Rev. Msgr. P.M. Stilla, V.G. Interment will take place at a later date. Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service and during the reception that follows.
