Barbara Law

With deep sadness, the family of Barbara Ann Law (nee Middleton) announces the passing of their beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. She lost a valiant four-year battle with breast cancer.

Born in Regina, Bobbi spent her childhood in Victoria before finally arriving in Thunder Bay with her family. Upon graduation from FWCI, Bobbi began her teaching career, focusing on kindergarten for her entire 30 years with the LDCSB. She was much loved by her students, their parents, and the staff of the schools where she worked.

She was a talented artist who loved to paint, sew, quilt, and play the accordion and piano and sing in the church choir. She could do anything artistic and proudly gave away her creations to friends and family.

Bobbi had a wonderful spirit and sense of humour. Her welcoming, kind soul drew people to her. She had many friends, those in Thunder Bay, others from her retirement years in Florida, and she made more wherever she went. She had a lunch group with retired teachers and loved her aquabics group at the Lakehead University pool.

Anyone who knew Bobbi will remember her smile and that glint in her eye when she was about to say something inappropriate. She was inseparable from Gord and loved spending time with family and friends in her backyard garden among the flowers and birds.

Bobbi will be deeply missed by her husband Gordon, daughter Kerri, son Craig (Rachel Inch), grandchildren Ella and Chesel, and her dog Arturo. She will also be missed by her brothers and sisters Jim (Crystal Cannon) Middleton, Bruce (Debbie) Middleton, Lissa Porath, and Christine (Allan) Zackodnik. She was pre-deceased by her parents Bob and Jean Middleton and sister Karen Miller.

To celebrate Bobbi’s life we invite friends and family to join in a time of memorial visitation between 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street. The Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Corpus Christi R.C. Church celebrated by Rev. Victor DeGagne with a reception to follow in the Sargent Family Reception Centre. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com. Donations in Bobbi’s memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
