Barbara Forestell

Mrs. Barbara Forestell, age 73 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 25, 2018 in hospital. 

Barb was born on May 22, 1944 in Port Arthur, ON. She attended Shaw Business College and worked in various office positions. In Oshawa, ON she started her family, returning to Thunder Bay in 1980. Barb loved her family, her grandchildren were her greatest joy. 

Survived by her children; Annette (Myke) Neufeld, KellyAnne (Peter) Spyrka, and Cory (Lissa) Forestell and their father, Harold Forestell; grandchildren, Quinn, Jordan, Owen, Andrew, Rylee and Lillian; brothers Jeff (Linda) Thingstad and Erik (Jacqui) Thingstad and many nieces, nephews and many close family and friends. 

Predeceased by her son, James in infancy and her parents. 

Heartfelt thanks to Diane Connolly for being there for Mom, and to everyone who reached out to offer support over the last six months. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 5, 2018 in Calvary Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Barone officiating. Private interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Association. 

Think of her as living 
in the hearts of those she touched, 
for nothing loved is ever lost, 
and she was loved so much.
