Barbara Luskey passed away on November 12, 2015 with her daughter holding her hand.
Mom was born on September 25, 1939 in Dixie, Ontario. Mom was well-known for her years of hard work, running and cooking delicious meals at Lac Des Mille Lacs Bait, Tackle and Restaurant. She became famous across Canada for her ‘bursting-at-the-seams apple pies”.
Barb is survived by sons Dan (Charlene), Jerry (Wendy); daughter Kathy (Phil); grandchildren Sara, Ian, Hanna and Ashton.
The family wishes to thank the caring and wonderful people who touched mom’s life at Dawson Court. Your caring ways were like a warm blanket. To Deb and Nancy who kept mom comfortable and warm to the end, thank you. To mom’s dear friend Jean Boville, you brought sunshine to mom the day she saw you at Dawson Court, thank you. We will place mom safely to her rest in the spring with freshly planted pink flowers.
