Barb left us for a better, pain free existence on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at age 53.
Barb was a well respected and dedicated RPN, spending her entire career at St. Joseph's Care Group, beginning in acute care and ending at Balmoral Detox, where she felt she was helping the clients who needed her the most. She was proud of serving as the president of CAW/Unifor from 2006 to 2010. Due to her health, she was unable to complete her career as planned, but she accepted all that happened as fate.
She leaves behind the loves of her life: her son Michael, his wife Jenny, and her most precious joy, her granddaughter Ferra. Also survived by her mother, Francis Moore; sister Sandi, nephews Josh and Thomas; twin brother Bill, his wife Mayleen and their children Lee and Ashley; nephew Dylan and his children Carter and Bransen, and nieces Kimmy, Kylie and Michelle, as well as her princess Clover. Other valued family also survive.
Barb was predeceased by her brother Larry, father William and grandparents, and also by her dear friend Lynn Lehto.
Thank you to Dr. A. Habjan and Shelly, Dr. Kirk, Dr. R. Batec and Emily, and Dr. K. Ward for all of your care and compassion.
Funeral services for Barb will be held on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 at 11:00AM at New Life Christian Fellowship, 203 Ogden St. with Pastor Keith Bunn presiding. Following the services, a gathering will be held in memory of Barb at 1:00PM at the Wayland Bar & Grill. 1019 Gore St. W.
Should friends so desire, donations to the charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay.
Please take this with you a final word from Barb -
“Shoulda, woulda, coulda, doesn't help anyone.
Shake it off Babe, Let's move on.”
