Mrs. Barbara Ann Rouillard (nee Hillcoff), aged 74 years, passed away unexpectedly in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Friday, March 24, 2023 with her loving son Jason by her side.

Barbara was born August 23, 1948 in Errington Township, Ontario. As a young girl, she grew up in Beardmore before moving to Thunder Bay, attending Ogden Street School and Selkirk Highschool. She dedicated her life to taking care of her husband and son, and worked in business administration as a secretary. Most recently, Barbara worked alongside her son, Jason, with his logging operation. Family was her greatest passion and she always looked forward to time spent with those she loved. Barbara enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening and reading about spirituality as well as road trips and travelling to vacation destinations. She also enjoyed picking blueberries and spending time in the bush, especially in the fall season. She loved baking and cooking and was a self-taught artist.

Barbara selflessly volunteered her time to long term care facilities and gave companionship to the elderly. Her kindness, compassion and her big heart will be deeply missed by all of those she knew.

Barbara is survived by her son Jason, as well as numerous sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Rosaire; her parents, George and Betty Hillcoff; her aunt and uncle Les and Evelyn Hillcoff, as well as other in-laws and relatives.

Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Barbara Rouillard will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at 10:30am in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Interment will follow in Mountainview Cemetery.

Should friends so desire, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
