Miss Bertha A. Sjoback, born May 19, 1929 died on Tuesday, June 7, 2016.
She was a life-long resident of Port Arthur, later Thunder Bay, and received her education there. She graduated as a Registered Industrial Accountant (later Certified Management Accountant) in 1961 and as a Certified General Accountant in 1964.
She was a member of the Society of Management Accountants Association of Ontario, Certified General Accountants Association of Ontario, the Federal Superannuates National Association, Lakehead Chapter, St. Paul’s United Church and the Scandinavian Home Society of Thunder Bay.
She was employed by the Bank of Montreal for 7 years and as a federal government auditor with Revenue Canada for 32 ½ years, retiring in 1985, having attained the position of Chief of Appeals. Her main interests were her home and travel.
She was predeceased by her father, Emil, in 1948 and by her mother, Esther, in 1980.
She is survived by her sisters Linda Sjoback and Astrid J. Fero, dear friend Gord Cormier as well as by numerous relatives is Scandinavia.
A private graveside service will be held at the family plot in Riverside Cemetery.
