Beverley Ann Bruley
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beverley Ann Bruley on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Mom passed away peacefully at Pioneer Ridge, with family by her side, at the age of 85 years. Beverley was born on February 9th, 1936 in Port Arthur, Ontario.

Mom had a zest for life like no other. Anyone that met her was embraced as if they were family. Her passions in life included music, curling, gardening, having coffee with her cousins, hanging out with the neighbours in the driveway or going to camp at Trout Lake as well as Rossport. Mom had the passion to make everyone smile. She loved to volunteer at Dawson Court and Corpis Christi where she sang in the choir and was a greeter every Sunday morning. What brought mom her most joy, was the smile of a child. She would decorate her lawn for every holiday ensuring the bears out front were always decked out for the holiday she was celebrating. But what brought the most joy to her heart was the time she spent with her three grandchildren. Whether she was calling Mercedes to see if she was on the plane that was currently flying over house, telling Breanne it didn’t matter if you got wrinkles from being outside, lathered in baby oil because wrinkles added character and it meant you lived a sunny life or giving goaltending tips to Brady, she was always there every time they called Grammy.

She was predeceased by her parents, Percy and Dorothea Page, brother Ted, sister Patricia, first husband Bob Newton, second husband George.

Beverley is survived by her two sons, Bob (Cathy), Breanne and Brady Newton, John (Christine), Mercedes Paull-Newton and step-daughter Michelle Doughan(Imad), Diane Vosilla and step-son George Bruley, as well as a numerous nieces and nephews.

In Mom’s later years in life, we must give special thanks to the all of the staff at Chartwell Thunder Bay and Pioneer Ridge Plaza 1 and 4. Mom felt at home because of the heart you all put into your job. Mom always looked forward to each of you popping into her room, when it was for care or to just to say hello and paint her nails with the sparkle nail polish, Mom loved you all. Thank you

Funeral services will be held at a later date when it’s safe for friends and family to gather to celebrate moms life. Should friends so desire, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of Thunder Bay.

“The band got their spoon player and Heaven just got a little louder. Have fun Mom”
