<p> It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved Brenda Ann Lewicky on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, after an extended illness.&nbsp;</p> <p> <span style="font-size: 12px;">Brenda was born on Feb. 26, 1963 and had been a resident of Thunder Bay all of her life. Brenda attended Hammarskjold High School and worked at various jobs until she found her calling with Service Ontario, working in the Registrar General&rsquo;s Office.&nbsp; </span></p> <p> <span style="font-size: 12px;">Brenda is survived by her daughter Jodi Bjorklund, her mother Carole Lewicky, her brother Jeff (Donna) Lewicky, her nephew Jordan Lewicky, her uncle Ralph (Pirjo) Sutherland and their children Sandra (Pat) Byers, David (Kerry) and Steve (Leanne).&nbsp; She is also survived by numerous cousins and their families in Manitoba.&nbsp; </span></p> <p> <span style="font-size: 12px;">Brenda was predeceased by her father Floyd, grandparents Hilpa (Elmer) Vesa, O.W. Lewicky and Alma Burns.&nbsp; </span></p> <p> <span style="font-size: 12px;">As per her wishes cremation has taken place with a private interment to be held at a later date.&nbsp; </span></p> <p> <span style="font-size: 12px;">A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, Jan. &nbsp;23, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the Sargent &amp; Son Funeral Chapel, 21 North Court Street with Rev. Randy Boyd&nbsp; of Trinity United Church presiding.&nbsp; </span></p> <p> <span style="font-size: 12px;">In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre&#39;s Northern Cancer Fund.&nbsp; </span></p> <p> <span style="font-size: 12px;">Online condolences may be made at:&nbsp; <a href="http://www.sargentandson.com" target="_blank">www.sargentandson.com</a>.</span></p> <p> &nbsp;</p>
