Brenda was born in Dryden on February 12, 1932 and went to Dryden’s local public and high schools. Her first job was at Cedar Lake Lodge, then at St. Regis Paper in Dryden. She married Joseph Amodeo in 1952 and they had six children. Brenda later moved to Thunder Bay to attend Confederation College and this is when she met her long-term partner, Herman Redlich.
