Mrs. Brenda Joan Boucher, age 74 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully in Hogarth Riverview Manor on Friday, March 29, 2024.

Brenda was born on July 9, 1949 and raised on the Fort William First Nation. She worked at the Airlane Hotel for a number of years, but her greatest passion was taking care of her husband and children. Brenda enjoyed bowling, and watching sports, especially hockey and baseball. She loved playing cards, Bingo, Crib and Poker. She was most happy surrounded by family and friends, especially her grandchildren, having a BBQ and sharing stories together. Brenda's big heart and kindness will forever be missed by all who knew her.

Brenda is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Brizard and sons Dion and Gilbert Jr. (and the mother of his daughter, Robin Harper); granddaughters Ruby Mitchell (Milo) and her former spouse Mike Mitchell, Kimberly Harper and Natalia Collins, great-grandchildren Devon, Danny, Sasha, Kiera, Allie, Alexa, Ethan, Liam, Bailey, Brooklyn, Payton, Preston, Mason and Theodore, as well as her great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Dennis McLaurin and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gilbert Francis Boucher in 2005 and her parents Barney Dennis McLaurin and Virginia Bannon.

Funeral services for Brenda Boucher will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024, when family and friends will gather in St. Anne's Mission Church for the Funeral Mass at 1:00pm celebrated by Father Doug McClure. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. A Wake will be held in the home of Gilbert Boucher Jr. (115 Mission Road) beginning Wednesday evening and continuing until 12:00pm Saturday.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
