Brian Michael Kroker, age 75 went home to our Lord on Monday, October 11, 2021, after a brief battle with cancer.

Born in Port Arthur he was the youngest of 8 children. Survived by sister Helen Kroker of Thunder Bay, brother Gorden Kroker (Zofia) nieces Stasia and Genia, nephew, Jake (Amanda), sister-in-law Stasia (m Norman), niece Kasia, nephew Matthew all of Adelaide, Australia. He was predeceased by parents Jake and Margaret (Doucet); by siblings Rev. Lawrence Kroker SJ.(2019), sister Norma Jean (2010), Norman (2008), Richard Kroker (2000), Robert (1946).

Brian had a lifelong love of traveling and flower gardening. In 2018, he received the Thunder Bay horticultural award for container garden. In 1997 at the age of 53 Brian retired from Eaton’s as a department head on its closing. He spent the winter months in Australia with his brothers and their families. There in Adelaide he traveled extensively and belonged to both a gardening and walking group. Saturdays, he enjoyed going to garage sales and spending the afternoon with nieces Stasia and Genia.

A private funeral mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at St. Anne’s R.C. Church with Fr. Gerald McDougall officiating. Those wishing to watch the service virtually may do so on Sargent & Son Facebook page. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made Anenki-wadj Spiritual Centre.
