Bruce Pappas

Bruce Pappas, age 64 years, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 10, 2022, six years after being diagnosed with advanced cancer. He was born in Kingston, Ontario on August 20, 1957.

He is survived by his sisters Christine Pappas (Michael Sage) of Ottawa, and Catherine Pappas (Patricia Thomson) of Toronto, and by his long-time friend Diana Malewiacky. He was predeceased by his parents Nicholas in 2011 and Shirley in 2019.

He retired from Resolute Forest Products on his 55th birthday in 2012, spending many happy years attending sporting events with his sister and sister-in-law in Toronto.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Joseph Del Paggio and Dr. Kevin Bezanson for their kind and compassionate care. A special thank you to Amanda Korte and Rob Cook at Bayshore Home Health, whose expert care allowed Bruce to realize his wish to pass away at home.

Cremation has taken place. A private gathering of family and friends will take place in the Spring, with interment in Mountainview Cemetery. Donations in Bruce's memory can be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation - Northern Cancer Fund.
