Bruno Piscitelli
It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Bruno Vincent Piscitelli, on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with his 2 girls by his side. He was only 57.

Bruno was born and raised in Thunder Bay. His two great loves in life were his family and living in Northwestern Ontario, particularly hunting, fishing, boating and camping. You could see his pleasure every time he went for a ride on his ATV through the forest trails. Bruno took every opportunity to get out and enjoy the great Northwestern Ontario wilderness.

He was predeceased by his parents Antonio and Anna Piscitelli, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in Italy and Canada.  He is survived by his daughters Hayley Hamilton (Justin) and Chelsea Hamilton (granddaughter Mercedes); brother Mario Piscitelli (Lil) and family; sister (Lee) Leonilda Alberts (Jack); nephew Dan Alberts (Dylan) and brother Carmine Piscitelli. He is also survived by one remaining aunt, Carmina (La Manna) Soviero in Italy and many cousins both in Canada and Italy.

In September, Dr. Wood set up visits with Dr. O’Brian and Dr. Wong at the Toronto General Hospital. We are grateful for their efforts. Bruno was there for a month staying with Mario and Lil. This made it possible for him to see his nephews and their children including Angelo, Tony and Katrina (Mario, Sofia, Leonardo and Marcello) and Nick and Kendra (Everett).

The family wishes to thank the Doctors and staff at TBRHSC especially Dr. T. Wood and Dr. O Aseyev for their care during Bruno’s illness. A special thank you to Dr. Donio for his efforts in the ER and his care and compassion.

A special thank you to Nancy Kivi, the best next-door neighbor ever and a true friend.

We also thank Hayley and Chelsea’s mother, Stacey Hamilton for her help throughout this difficult time.

Bruno was a Unifor Local #1075 member at Bombardier. We thank them for their help.

At Bruno’s request, cremation will take place through Jenkens Funeral Home. Due to the Covid situation, a memorial will be postponed to later next year when it is safer to do so. Family and friends will be notified at that time.

Should anyone desire, donations can be made in Bruno’s honour to the Diabetes Association or Canadian Cancer Society.
