Carole Brown (Covino) age 73 years of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Friday, February 6, 2015.  Carole was born in Fort William on August 8, 1941. 

In her early years, she attended St. Peter’s School and St. Dominic’s Church in the East End.  She was also a member of St. Peter’s Church, The Royal Canadian Legion, Slovak Branch 129 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the DaVinci Centre.

Carole was first employed by Purity Bread in the East End, housekeeping at Victoriaville and retired from housekeeping at McKellar Hospital.

Carole married Andy Brown in 1968 and they resided in Toronto and Thunder Bay.

Carole is survived by her sons William (Laura) and Robert (Alison), grandchildren Justin, Sheldon, Michael and Serenity and great granddaughter Harmony.  She is also survived by siblings Marie, Florence Jourdain, Leonard (Gilda), Thomas (Linda), Herby (June), and Lorna and numerous aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by parents Joseph (1965) and Celeste (2005), husband Andy (1993), daughter-in-law Kathy (2008), brother Joey (1968), sister Evelyn Graham (2000) and brothers-in-law Mervyn Jourdain and Brian Graham.

Cremation has taken place and services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 when family and friends will gather for Mass in St. Peter’s Church at 7pm celebrated by Rev. Terry Sawchuk.  If friends desire, memorials to the charity of their choice would be appreciated.

Carole Brown will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 12, 2016.
