It is with great sorrow that the family of Cathy Drombolis, announce her passing on March 7, 2018 at the age of 92. Cathy was born in Windsor Ontario to Bill and Evangeline Paskalis and at the age of 6, moved to Fort William, now known as Thunder Bay.

Cathy spent her entire life in Thunder Bay. Her father Bill, owned a Confectionary Store on May Street and one day from the window of the store Cathy saw a handsome man in uniform pass by and then and there, she told her Mom that was the man she was going to marry and she did just that. At the age of 18, she married Alexander Drombolis, and they raised 3 children, Diana, Alexis and Bill. Family was everything to Cathy and her world revolved around them. After her children were all grown, they still came for Sunday dinner every week right up to the end of her life. Cathy was blessed with 3 grandchildren who she adored, Mark, Meagan and Michael. The arrival of her Great Grandchildren Norah and Quinn brought a huge smile to her face and she thought they were the cutest children ever born.

Cathy loved people and didn’t have a bad word to say about anyone. She was the Matriarch of the family and always was the one to organize the relatives for social time together. Her home was open to anyone, anytime, and you were always received with a warm greeting as she loved company. Her generosity knew no bounds.

At the age of 12, she joined the Holy Trinity Alter Guild and was a member until her death. Cathy had a love for playing Bridge and golf and continued with these activities into her mid 80’s.She was also an avid bowler and was on many bowling leagues throughout her life.

Cathy will be sadly missed but leaves many happy memories for her children and grandchildren to cherish.
