Cecilia Okeese passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Southbridge Lakehead.
She was the daughter of Angus Oskineegish and biological father Arnold Yellowhead.
Cecilia is survived by her common-law partner Temius Nate; her children Bruce, Ernie, Virginia, Harry, Charlie, Timmy, Danielle and Mattio; siblings Daisy O., Evelyn, John, Tommy, Lawson, Bessie, Elsie, Elizabeth, Jenny, Victoria and Daisy N. Many friends, relatives, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren that reside in Eabametoong First Nation, Ignace, Thunder Bay and Summer Beaver also survive.
Predeceased by children Roy, Jimmy and Alice Okeese; sibling Marceline, Ida, Barbara O., Sandy and George Yellowhead.
Funeral services for Cecilia Okeese will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 S. Syndicate Avenue. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time.
Funeral Services in Eabametoong First Nation will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Anglican Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time. Interment will take place following the service at 1:00 p.m. at St. James Anglican New Cemetery.
