Chad Jason Shostal

Chad passed away unexpectedly on January 11, 2015 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre at the age of 41 years. Cremation has taken place with Northwest Funeral Alternative.

Chad leaves behind to mourn, his wife of 15 years Julie (Dugan-Barker); sons Russell, Kolby and Ethan; daughters Cassandra and her mother Wanda Hein from Alberta, Jessalyn Dupuis from Saskatchewan; his parents Larry and Sue; mother-in-law Maggie Barker.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

In his younger years, Chad was very dedicated in all sports. He played hockey and baseball and anything to do with the outdoors.  He also took the time later on in life to become an avid pool player, with many people asking for his assistance in coaching for his knowledge of the game. He enjoyed coaching baseball from age 4 and up, and was a board member for Current River Little League. He also enjoyed coaching for William Canadiens Hockey teams with his wife Julie.

Chad will be sadly missed by many.

Funeral Services for Chad will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Elder Gene Bannon.  

Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made In Trust for his sons Kolby and Ethan.
