Chantelle Bellavance

Posted

It is with heavy hearts that we share that Chantelle has lost her battle with addiction on June 27, 2022.

Chantelle Claire was born in Sault Ste. Marie April 8, 1981. In the 4th year of her life she came to join her sister Alexis to become a Bellavance. A year later their younger brother Kristofer joined us. She was baptized in the Bethlehem Christian Reformed Church. She was educated at the Thunder Bay Christian School and Fort William Collegiate.

She took pride in raising her boys, the loves of her life for a number of years. She worked fiercely on managing her Crohn’s disease through fitness and nutrition. She loved music and in her early years was amazing on the piano and later took up the guitar.

She leaves behind to grieve and also remember her, mother Alice, sister Alexis (Shon), brother Kristofer, daughter Alison McHugh, sons, Samuel and Maxwell Johnson. Also left to grieve is Nathan Johnson, father to Samuel and Maxwell and his family. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Chantelle was predeceased by her father Terry, grandparents Claire and Paul Bellavance, Uncle John Bellavance and Uncle Martin Makkinga.

A service will be held at Bethlehem Christian Reformed Church on July 12, 2022 at 2:30 pm officiated by Pastor Marg Rekman. A livestream of the service will be available at www.facebook.com/BethlehemCRC.

Those wishing to make memorial donations can do so for her boy’s (Samuel and Maxwell Johnson) education trust fund at Copperfin Credit Union, Syndicate Avenue.
