Charles Melvin

Charles Melvin, aged 77 years, passed away peacefully at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre in the early hours of December 28, 2018.

Charles leaves to mourn his children Larry (Karen) and Steve (Medicine Hat); his sisters Monica (Cambridge, ON) and Esther (Marystown, Nfld). Charles will be dearly missed by his grandchildren Paige (Ziggy) (Edmonton), Zachary, Chase and Lauren as well as his many nieces and nephews from Newfoundland across the country to British Columbia and down into the United States.

Charles is predeceased by his loving wife Shirley; mother and father Mary and Martin; his brothers Lawrence, William, Matthew, James and Frances as well as his sisters Margaret (Vincent Burton) and Theresa (Cyril Fitzgerald).

Funeral Services for Charles Melvin will be held at St. Agnes Church on Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11:00 am with Father James Panikulam officiating. A reception will follow in the Church Hall. A private interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Charles’ memory to Sleeping Giant Ostomy Club, War Amps, St. Agnes Church or Thunder Bay Salvation Army.
