Charlotte Ann Zeleny passed away peacefully at her home, with her family nearby on April 17, 2017.
Charlotte was born January 3, 1949 in Fort William, Ontario. She graduated from Mckellar School of Nursing in 1971 and worked as a psychiatric nurse for 39 years at both two south McKellar and Lakehead Regional hospital retiring in 2010.
Charlotte loved to spend time at her camp on Lake Superior, especially if she had a good book to keep her company. Throughout her life, she was an avid reader; most recently wearing out two Kindle’s. Her other love was travelling by road or plane throughout North America.
Charlotte is survived by her husband, William Zeleny, sons Robert, Jeff (Jennifer) and Mark, Sister Yvonne (Jim) Fummerton (Edmonton) and niece Kerri Fummerton (Edmonton). Charlotte was predeceased by her parents, John and Olga Chabot.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Blake Funeral Chapel, with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers and gifts, donations made to the National Fragile X Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
