It is with heavy hearts that the family of Cheryl (Robertson) Ridler announce her passing on May 22, 2017 surrounded by family and friends.

Cheryl was born in Port Arthur, ON to Jack and Josie Robertson, the third of four children. Having been diagnosed with Turner's Syndrome it did not slow "the Wee Yin' down. Graduating from Lakeview High School, Cheryl continued her post-secondary studies at Confederation College to become a nurse, working many years in the community.

Her infectious laugh and incredible work ethic made her many friends throughout the years. She enjoyed her weekly dart games and in her younger years achieved a black belt in karate. She could pack quite a punch! She was especially proud of her Scottish roots and attended many concerts and Burns suppers of the MacGillivray Pipe Band.

Despite ill health, she never missed coffee club with her gang, The Tim Horton Hooligans.

Cheryl will be sadly missed by her big brother John (Laura), sister Allison, special niece Courtney, adored nephews Sean, Iain and Jean-Christophe, step-daughter Shannon; brother-in-law Eric; uncle Walter, aunt Nessie in St. Catherines as well as numerous relatives in Scotland.

A big Thank You to Lorne who watched over Cheryl, you are much appreciated. Cheryl was predeceased by her Mother and Father and big sister Sheila. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 111:00 a.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thunder Bay Humane Society.
