Christina MacLeod
It is with great sadness Don announces the passing of his mother Christina-Annie MacLeod on February 9, 2019, 1 week shy of her 85th birthday.

Mom was born on February 16, 1934 in Borriston, Carloway, Isle of Lewis, Scotland. She moved to Thunder Bay in 1964 with her husband Kenny MacLeod and their 2 sons Don and Ken. Later on, she got a job at the General Hospital where she worked for 20 years in dietary. Mom made many great friends over the years, if you every met her would know why. She loved to go shopping could spend all afternoon at the mall - and sometimes did. She looked forward every Wednesday to get her hair done at her good friend Bonnie’s and then stop by for a short visit to the casino. On the weekends she loved to listen to her Gaelic music from Scotland. When her health started declining, her days were brightened by the phone calls and visits from her friends, a very special thanks to all of you.

Mom was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Kenny; her son Ken; daughter Annie Margaret; brothers John MacArthur and Donald Malcolm MacArthur; parents Donald John and Margaret “Peggy” MacArthur.

She will be greatly missed and never forgotten by her son Don; sister-in-law Brenda (Ken); brother Angus MacArthur (of Burlington); sister-in-law Christine (of Scotland); nieces Lillian (of Washington), Joyce, Sandra, Iso (all of Scotland); as well as all of her great friends.

For those of you wishing to attend, a Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Riverside Cemetery, 800 Oliver Road. Friends may gather at the main gate at 10:45 am and follow procession to block “E” as per her wishes. There will be no reception to follow as per Mom’s wishes.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.

She will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
~ Love Always, Don xoxo
