Mrs. Christine Brunwin, aged 78 years, a resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2021 after a lengthy journey with dementia.

She was the eldest child of James and Jean Booth; sister to Elaine, Shela, Lynda and Ian. Her childhood was spent growing up in Burris, Ontario. She attended Burris school and Fort Frances High School. At the age of sixteen, Christine left school to pursue a career as a Registered Nursing Assistant in Thunder Bay.
It was here that she met the love of her life, Monty Brunwin, and they married in August of 1965. Christine left nursing to raise her two daughters, and later worked alongside Monty at F. W. Brunwin Welding.

Christine enjoyed travelling to destinations that included Scotland, Florida, Las Vegas and Mexico. She spent her summers with her family at camp on Lambert Island and fishing at Kab Lake.

Christine was pre-deceased by Monty in 2010 and their daughter, Patti, in 2014. Also pre-deceased by her parents, Jim and Jean Booth and her parents-in-law, Frank and Lola Brunwin. She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Joe Harding); her grandsons, Collin and Myles Harding; her sisters Elaine (Hans Beyer); Shela (Bill Storry); Lynda (Tom Chandler); brother, Ian Booth (Neila); brother-in-law, Jay (Nancy); numerous nieces, nephews and cousins here and abroad.

The family would like to extend sincere gratitude to all the staff on 5 South “Orchid” at Hogarth-Riverview Manor for the loving care provided to Christine during her time there.

A Private Funeral Service with an interment will be held.
