Cynthia Carolyn Baxter King

It is with incredible sadness that the family of Cynthia announce her sudden passing on March 13, 2022 in Thunder Bay.

Cynthia was born to Dave & Sue Baxter in Atikokan on February 25, 1974. She attended elementary school and high school in Atikokan. She furthered her post-secondary education and became a Pharmacy Technician. She had two amazing children, Malcolm & Faith, whom she adored. Cynthia’s faith in God helped her overcome many challenges throughout her life. She was extremely artistic and crafty. She loved to spoil her loved ones with the creations she had made. She was extremely generous and loving. Cynthia was lovingly known by her dad as his “Flower Daughter” and her nieces and nephews as “Auntie CC”.

She will be missed by her mom Sue, her children Malcolm and Faith, brothers Bert (Sandra), Kevin (Karin), sisters Laura and Sarah (Aaron), nieces and nephews Kayla (Josh), Hayden (Tiffany), Spencer (Cassidy), Mya (deceased), Madison, Mitchell (deceased), Jack, Joshua, Lily, Noah and Isabelle as well as her great nephew and nieces Henry, Emily, Hannah and Tessa-Lynne along with her partner Phil who were all so precious to her. Her presence and love will be missed by her entire family. It brings us peace to know that she was reunited with her dad in heaven.

Cynthia loved to encourage others with her favourite verses from the Bible. This is the verse she gave her mom on the day of her dad’s funeral to give her strength. Isaiah 26:3 "You will keep him in perfect peace, who’s mind is stayed on Thee.”

Visitation for Cynthia will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street, Thunder Bay. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 10:00 am at Westfort Baptist Church, with a private family interment to follow.
