Dan Joe Storozuk

Dan Joe Storozuk, age 80 years, passed away suddenly at home on July 6, 2016.

Dan was born in Vita, Manitoba and later, moved with his family to the Thunder Bay Region, where they operated a log hauling farm. When he was older, Dan started working for a cleaning company. This led to him forming a partnership with two good friends and creating/operating their own business, Team Effort, which lasted for an enjoyable thirty years.

Dan had several relationships and marriages over the years, that also provided him with sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, all of whom he loved and enjoyed very much. In 2005, Dan moved to his final residence, sharing a home with his good friend and companion, Victoria Anniuk.

Dan was an adventurous soul and loved to travel and visit his family, new places and try new things. He always had a smile for everyone and a wonderful sense of humor. He was the “go-to guy” if anything broke, a peace-maker and had amazing resilience. Most of all, Dan had a huge heart, always willing to lend a hand or help in any way he could.

Dan will be sadly and greatly missed by all who knew him. Surviving Dan are his sons Dan Jr. (Glenda), John (Chrystal) and Justin Storozuk, his daughters-in-law, Pauline Parker and Samantha (Sylvia) Helfrich, brother Peter Storozuk, as well as all his grandchildren, particularly, Candice with whom he had a very close relationship, and great-grandchildren, many cousins and his favourite, Aunt Nellie. He was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Margaret, brother Glen and his son Kenny.

Funeral Services for Dan will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon, July 29, 2016 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Re. Msgr. P. M. Stilla, V. G. of St. Patrick’s Cathedral. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Dan's memory would be appreciated.
