Daniel Francis Crozier

His family is saddened to announce the passing of Daniel Francis Crozier on July 30, 2021, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Born and raised in southern Ontario, Dan attended the University of New Brunswick and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and History and a Master of Arts Degree in English. He taught at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C. and at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia before joining the faculty of Lakehead University where he taught Canadian Literature until his retirement.

Dan is survived by his two sons, Geoffrey Crozier (Barb Sokol) and Kevin Crozier; his granddaughter, Katelyne Crozier; his great-grandson, James Crozier; and his former wife, Margaret Crozier. He was predeceased by his father, Frank Crozier; his mother and step-father, Marie and Bert Brown, and his brother, Ricky Brown.
For the care given to Dan over the past several months, the family wishes to thank Dr. Tara Spicer and the doctors and medical staff of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and St. Joseph’s Hospital. We also wish to thank the staff of Harbourview Funeral Centre.

In keeping with Dan’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service.
