It is with great sorrow that Bucky, Merna, Michael and step-son Brad announce the passing of our mother Darlene Elizabeth Crocker (nee Duce) on the 30th of January, 2018 in St. Joseph’s Hospital.

Mom was born in McKellar General Hospital in Fort William on February 13, 1937 and spent a good portion of her life in the Thunder Bay area. She lived in Ignace for a number of years and loved fishing, the outdoors and the wilderness. Her forte was cooking and everyone can testify that she was one of the best cooks ever.

From a family of 6 siblings she is survived by her brother Tommy and her sisters Mildred, Mulvina and Joyce. She has left a legacy of many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a life-time of friends. An enormous and most sincere thank you goes out to Lyle McKinnon (who Mom thought of as a son) and Judy Scarpelli for the years of thoughtfulness, compassion, friendship and for being there for Mom when we couldn’t be.

A service for Mom will be held at the Free Methodist Church, 920 Sprague Street, on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. Although Mom has passed to join friends and loved ones we will miss you, we love you and you will always be with us.
