Darlene Vezina

Mrs. Darlene Vezina (nee Austin), age 67 years, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 with her best friend Chris by her side after a courageous battle with AML.

Darlene loved her home, calling it “the house that nobody wanted”, but she made it into a home for her and Terry to share. She spent her time tending to her flower gardens, sitting on her porch with her beloved dog, Buddy, watching the geese fly by.

Darlene's love for animals led her to become a founding member of Northern Reach Rescue. She was passionate about rescue and giving animals a chance to have a loving home.

Darlene is survived by her sisters, Diane Austin McMillin and her son, Michael, and Donna Austin and her children Brady and Kylie; as well as her best chum Christina Donaldson (Haliburton, Ontario).

Predeceased by her loving husband, Terry and parents Bill and Sheila Austin.

Cremation has taken place and private services will be held. Darlene and Terry will be interred together in Schreiber Cemetery.
