It is with great sorrow that the family of Darryl Woodcock announces the peaceful passing of their father, grandfather and brother at TBRHSC on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 with family his side.

Darryl was born March 15, 1948 in Port Arthur, Ontario. He was the fourth child of parents Douglas and Alice. He worked at the elevators for many years and as a truck driver for Fitzsimmons and McDonald's Consolidated. An injury and illness forced him into early retirement. Darryl married in 1970 and he and Maureen had two children Mark and Jennifer. Darryl loved the outdoors especially hunting and fishing with his childhood friends. He spoke fondly of these friends and their escapades. Darryl was a talented artist, whose work you could find displayed around town. He dearly loved his children Mark and Jennifer and his grandchildren. He was a generous loving soul who would help anyone if they needed. He was always well liked, whether at PR Cook Apts. where he resided, or during his many trips to the hospital as his illness progressed. The doctors, nurses and support staff were all fond of him with his sense of humour and mischievousness.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Darryl is survived by son Mark Woodcock and daughter Jennifer (Kurt) Noyes. Grandchildren Steven, Samuel, Sean and Kaylyn. Sisters Elaine (Bill) Curtis and Sandra Wright, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Darryl was predeceased by his parents Alice and Douglas, brothers Robert and Ronald and cousin Linda.

Celebration of Life for the late Darryl Edward Woodcock will be held Thursday, August 23rd at 12:00pm at Current River Community Centre, 450 Dewe Ave. Cremation has taken place and a family burial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice in Darryl's memory.
