On October 5th, 2015 at the age of 76, Mr. David Allan Paquette – who was a resident of Nolalu – passed away peacefully with family by his side in the hospice unit of St. Joseph’s Hospital.
When he was young, David left school to serve the Canadian Forces for five years, both in Petawawa, Ontario and Shilo, Manitoba. He spent most of his working years driving logging trucks, and always found joy in spending his spare time fishing – especially with his fly rod.
David will be sadly missed by his sons Wayne (Tammy) and Randy (Michelle); by his grandchildren Amanda, Krystin, and Madison; by his sister Wendy (Melvin), brother Jack (Marlene), and by numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives. David was predeceased by his wife, Margaret; by his parents, Pearl and Arthur; by his sisters, Gloria and Cathy, and by his nephew Brian Paquette.
The funeral mass for the late David Paquette will be held on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, 664 Red River Rd. Thunder Bay, with services held by Father Allan Albao. Visitation for friends will begin one hour prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in David’s name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
