David Conrad Lang, age 62 years, a former resident of Walkinshaw Lake, passed away in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Friday, September 30, 2016.

Dave was born in Muskego, Wisconsin, to Frank and Jeanette Lang on June 4th,1954, as the youngest of five siblings.

He worked in the metro Milwaukee area as a machinist for the duration of his career, ultimately retiring to the Thunder Bay, Ontario area, where he resided with his wife. His hobbies included riding motorcycles, ATV‘s, snowmobiles, repairing vehicles, as well as remodelling his home.  

Most of all, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Dave will be remembered as a kind, compassionate person who would help anyone without a second thought. He brought smiles to the faces of those who had the opportunity to spend time with him.

Dave will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Shirley, his nephew Dano (Renee) and their children McKenna and Blake, and his step-children Jeff (Jennifer) and Melanie (Morgan) and grandchildren Lily, Dylan, Violet and Michael, and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Dave was predeceased by his parents Frank and Jeanette, brothers Rick, Gary, his sister Rita, and his beloved dog Roy.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, presided by Rev. Fr. Victor DeGagne of Corpus Christi Church. Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior, at 12:00 Noon.
