Mr. David Verrill passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Saturday, March 7, 2015. He was born in Toronto, Ontario on December 27, 1967 and raised in Thunder Bay.
David was a graduate of Lakeview High School, and received his BSc in Psychology from Lakehead University in 1991.
David enjoyed his 25 year career at Sunset Memorial Gardens, and took great pride in serving as Cemetery Manager for the past several years.
David was a committed husband and father who enjoyed fishing and pursuing adventures with his family in the great outdoors. He was a member of the Oddfellows, following in the footsteps of his father, Wayne Verrill and his grandfather, John Hawkins. David will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his wife, Stacey; his children Eric, Nicholas, Reilly, and Aidynn; parents Wayne and Susan Verrill; grandmother Olive Sergeant; sister Catherine (David) Draper; brother Stephen (Aynsley) Verrill, as well as a large and close knit group of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his grandparents John (Paddy) and Elaine Hawkins, Ralph Verrill, and Nat Sergeant.
In lieu of flowers, gifts to an education fund for Reilly and Aidynn would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Jenkens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at 11:00 am at Jenkens Funeral Home.
