It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Delaney Gustafson at the tender age of 20 years. Delaney began her journey into the spirit world on Tuesday, January 30th, 2018.

She is survived by her parents Owen and Lisa, her brothers Wyatt and Awsten and sisters Shae and Ashley.

Delaney was a Youth Outreach Worker and a great role model in the community. Delaney was a young vibrant powwow dancer, who travelled many places. In December 2015 she along with fellow dancers who were chosen to represent the aboriginal community within Canada, travelled to China to perform in multiple places such as the Forbidden City, Summer Palace and the Great Wall of China.

“Just Delaney Creations” displays the many talents of Delaney. Her remarkable work included beaded earrings, necklaces, keychains, lanyards as well as men and women’s traditional regalia. Each regalia Delaney wore was her own creation which she wore with great pride.

Delaney will be missed by those who knew her for her kindness, compassion, talents and the laughter she brought to others.

Visitation for family and friends will take place at Kitchitwa Kateri Church, 451 North Syndicate Avenue, from 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, beginning at NOON on Saturday, February 3, 2018.

In memory of Delaney, donations may be made to Biwaase'aa for youth programs and crafts.
