Denny (Dennis) Oakley of Bow Island, beloved husband of Lynn Oakley passed away suddenly on November 8, 2022 at the age of 74 years.
He also leaves to cherish his memory five children, Kimberly Oakley, Amy Oakley (Jarvis Clemens), Troy Hellman, Jason Lentz (Shauna) and Tara Whiting (Ken Taylor); his grandchildren, Jasmin Lentz, Sierra Loignon, Keenen Quann, Patience Hellman, Nevan Tuchscherer, Zarah Hellman, Audrey Esau, Augusta Lentz; great grandchild, Cirilla Coombs; one sister Judy Carlson (Jon), one brother Roy Oakley (LuLu) and many important family and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Eveline Mogg and Michael Oakley and one daughter April Hellman. Denny was born on May 18, 1948, in Port Arthur, Ontario. He began his work career with the CP Rail and transferred to Calgary in 1997 with is family. He continued working with CP Rail for the next 34 years, then moved to Bow Island and retired. Denny enjoyed camping, fishing, wood working, NASCAR weekends and going for cruises in his corvette.
Family and friends who wish to pay their respects may do so at the PATTISON FUNERAL HOME on Monday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held in the Burdett Community Church on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 1:00 p.m
