It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Diane Patricia Weatherby announce her unexpected passing on Friday, March 30th , 2018 at TBRHSC at the age of 76 years.

Diane was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on March 3rd, 1942 to Patricia and John Kusznier. Later in life she married Percy Weatherby and together they raised four beautiful children.

Diane was a phenomenal cook and pursued this love of cooking as she did with everything in her life. Many people were able to enjoy her creations throughout the years at various establishments.

Her greatest passion was her family. Especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was happiest when with them and watching them at their activities. She was always their biggest fan and never missed a single game or event. Cole, Owen and Addison had her at their hockey games. While Harper, Sadie and Presley had her at gymnastics.

Diane had many hobbies. She enjoyed attending TOPS and spending weekends at yard sales finding treasures. However, her absolute favourite thing to do was camping with her family and her dog Chocolate at Marks Lake.

Diane will be lovingly remembered by her children; Emily(Sergio), Alfred(Lauralee) and Uno(Susan). Her sisters; Patricia(Barry), Judy(Donald) and Audrey. Sister in law Joanie. As well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Diane was predeceased by her late husband Percy. Her first son Christopher, her companion later in life Doug Duffield as well as her Mother-Patricia, Father-Peter, brother Peter, Mother-In Law-Alice, Father in Law-Micheal and brother in law John. 

A Celebration of Diane’s life will be held on Saturday, April 7th, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the MS Society of Thunder Bay or Paws for Love Dog Rescue. On-line condolences may be made at www.sargentandson.com.
