Mr. Donald A. Dool, age 83 years, passed away peacefully with family by his side on July 27, 2015.
Donald was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario on February 3, 1932, the youngest of 12 children to Edith and Penman Dool. Don moved to Port Arthur in the 1950's working a variety of jobs until settling into his career with Dow Chemical. After 27 years, he retired as Terminal Manager from Dow.
Don was predeceased by his wife Shirley in 2008, and son James.
He is survived by his children Priscilla Savas, Kathleen (Art) Appelle, Cindy (Gordie) Traer, Pat (Kim) Dool, Becky (Bernie) Stockermans and Cheryl Spenard, brothers Lloyd and Leslie, sister Iris, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as a large extended family.
We will miss his integrity, dignity and never faltering sense of humour. We realize not only how much he meant to us, but how proud we are every time we have a chance to say~ “That's my dad.”
A private family interment will take place in Sault Ste. Marie at a later date. EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma in care of arrangements.
