Mr. Donald Baker, age 90 years, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Pioneer Ridge.

Don was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on June 3, 1931. He was raised and educated locally. He was a quiet and private man who loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Don loved the outdoors and fishing, in his younger years he would go with his father and two brothers. He built and spent many enjoyable years at his camp at Honkonen Narrows on Lac Des Milles Lac.He was a long time Tiger Woods fan, watching him and collecting memorabilia. He was also an avid supporter of the Montreal Canadiens, cheering them through the Stanley Cup Playoffs this season.

Don is survived by his children, Kathy (Rick) Lebel and Richard; grandchildren, Aaron (Amanda) Lebel, Adam (Katie) Lebel and Peter (Brienne) Lebel; great grandchildren, Oscar, Paiton, Sage, McKinley and Isla; sisters in-law, Shirley Baker and Arlene Baker and cousin Virgie Phillips as well as nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Predeceased by his beloved wife, Virginia and Son Jim; his parents and siblings, Elsie (John) Winans, Bob, Jack, Kathy and Barbara.

Thank you to all of the Doctors, nurses and support staff of Plaza 4-Pioneer Ridge for their excellent care over the last two years.

Cremation has taken place and interment will take place in Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma.
