Donna Hryenchuk

Posted

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donna Hryenchuk (nee Nichols) announces her passing on May 25, 2016 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

Donna was born July 11, 1945 in Fort William, ON where she would grow up in a large family, close with her siblings and cousins. Although a long-term resident of Thunder Bay, ON where many of her family and friends lived, Donna resided for a time in Lethbridge, AB with her dear friend Chris. At the age of 65 Donna happily retired from the hospitality industry so that she could spend more time with the people she loved and cherished as well to do some long-desired traveling. In her youth and throughout her adulthood,

Donna was an avid bowler and often competed in tournaments both near and far. In her later years Donna enjoyed road trips with her family to do some sight seeing and souvenir shopping; she loved bringing back gifts for everyone. Donna especially enjoyed her casino bus tours with her best friend Flo. You could also always find Donna at a tea and bazaar where she would be up at the penny auction table with her great-grandkids.

Donna is survived by her daughter Brenda (Jimmy), her granddaughters Vannessa and Leeann, her great grandchildren Joseph and Danika, and her great granddog Bruce. Predeceased by her parents and all her siblings, Donna will finally reunite with them in Heaven. A celebration of life will be held this Saturday, June 4, 2016 at the Moose Hall 317 May St S at 2PM. Please join us as we toast to this truly amazing woman and the remarkable life she lived.

Donna Hryenchuk will be remembered in the Blake Funeral Chapel Memorial Grove.  Annual dedication service Sunday, June 11, 2017
