Mrs. Alice Dorothy Comstock age 85 years, a resident of Fort William First Nation, passed away in Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, on Thursday, May 11, 2017.

Dorothy was born and raised in Fort William and was a lifelong resident of the Fort William First Nation. She was employed as a housekeeper at the Dilico Treatment Centre for a number of years.

She is survived by her children Roger Charlie, Rochelle Johnson, Lorraine (Brian) Solomon, Arlene Solomon, Susan (Peter) Collins, Phillip, Maurice and Bill Solomon, 32 grandchildren, 60 great grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, grandson Charlie Esquega who was raised by Dorothy and Edward Comstock.  Also survived by siblings John (Val) Charlie, Natalie (Allan) Ranger, Dennis (Paulette) Charles, Valerie (Frank) Chapman. She was predeceased by her parents Harry and Angeline (Bannon) Charlie, 1st husband George Solomon, sons George (Sluggo) and Tommy and 2nd husband Edward Comstock, her brothers Frank, Harvey and Lyle Charlie.   

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 10:00am, at St. Anne's Mission Church celebrated by Rev. Larry Kroker s.j.  Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Prayers will be offered Monday May 15, 2017 at  7:00pm in St. Anne's Mission Church.
