Mrs. Dorothy Sawicki, age 82, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her own home with her family by her side.

Dorothy was born in Fort William, on April 1, 1939, and was the daughter of Frank and Mary Wenzell. She married the love of her life, Roger Sawicki, on June 28, 1961. Together they had 6 children. Dorothy starting working at Wenzell’s clothing as a young girl and continued working until they closed the store in 2004. Her greatest love was for her family especially true love, Roger. She was happiest in her own home, planning family gatherings, baking treats for her grandkids, and spending time in her yard with her flowers. She made every occasion special, and made many traditions that are cherished and will be passed on to her grandchildren. She always made sure when the grandkids came, they were always fed and provided treats.

She will always be remembered by her children; Randy, Patti Lambert, Tracey (Brian) Dychko. Mary Jo (Rick) Cicigoi, Jody (Dave) Lehto; grandchildren; Adam Sawicki, Ross, Cale and Carly Lambert, Jayme, Matt, Mike and DJ Dychko, Alyssa, Christian, Alex and Sammy Cicigoi, Zach, Mack and Josh Lehto; sisters Joan McCarthy, Judy (Gord) Wooldridge, Maureen (Dwight) Stirrett, Patti (Emil) Slivchak, Marilyn (Dave) Schaus; In-laws Joanne Wenzell and Kenny and Marilena; and her two dearest friends Betty McCauley and Jennifer Fulford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Roger, son Roger James in infancy, parents Frank and Mary Wenzell, brother Frank, In-laws Ted and Lina, brother in-law Wayne McCarthy. Funeral services will be held on October 20, 2021 at St Dominics Church at 1:30pm.
