On February 13, 2019 Doug (Dougie) Tilson passed away peacefully at the TBRHSC following a brief illness. Doug was born to Donna Williams and Frank Tilson on March 26, 1965. He grew up in Thunder Bay and lived here all his life. Doug attended Forest Park Public School, Northwood High School and Sault Ste. Marie College where he completed his small motor mechanics.
He is survived by his daughter Amanda Tilson (Gavin); brothers Rob Tilson, Darcy Tilson, Randy Fossum and their families; sister Silvia Tilson; long-time special friend Tina Manfredo as well as many other family members. He has also left a special place in the hearts of his friend Brian and ACT worker Janice. He is predeceased by his uncle Billy Swalwell, mother Donna Williams, step-father John Williams and father Frank Tilson.
I would like to take this time to thank, from the bottom of my heart, the ACT Team, TBRHSC Psych Ward and 1A staff, Tina and Kathie and Tedd from Winnipeg.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the Moose Hall, 434 Fort William Road. Memorial donations to the Schizophrenia Society of Ontario or the Northern Cancer Fund would be appreciated.
