Dwayne Anderson
It is with great sadness the family of Mr. Dwayne Gary Anderson announces his passing at the TBRHSC on February 24, 2018. Dwayne was born in Thunder Bay at McKellar Hospital on December 14, 1966. He graduated from Selkirk High School where he played football and he excelled in track and field, weightlifting and body building. Dwayne was awarded a scholarship for Peace Gardens Athletic Camp where he received gold ribbons across the board.

His passions in life were cooking, his family and friends. He worked at Abitibi Mission Paper Mill and later for the City of Thunder Bay in the Parks Department, Conservatory and Mountain View Cemetery.

Dwayne is predeceased by his parents Stuart and Priscilla (Penny) Anderson and his grandparents. He is survived by his sister Jennifer; his daughters Jennifer Anderson (Minnesota USA) and Kayja Brading (Thunder Bay); his nephews David Gratzki (Brooke) and Deacon Hummel (Shayla). He is also survived by his very close friend Janet Dugan.

He was very fond of Dr. Everall and his girls at the Joseph Esquega Health Centre. Many thanks to them for their support as well as the staff at the TBRHSC ICU unit. Thank you also to the many friends who loved him dearly. Dwayne was well known for his kindness and strength. Many people thought of him as a Viking Warrior. He will be forever missed by all who loved him.

A Celebration of Dwayne’s Life will be held on Friday March 9, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home, 226 South Syndicate Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joseph Esquega Health Centre would be greatly appreciated.
